Learn to Scan With Confidence 

This isn't a course built around a multiple-choice exam you could pass without ever touching a probe. This is a full day — 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM — built around scanning: real-time hands-on practice, live demonstrations, and supervised image acquisition in a small group of just 4–5 participants per instructor. You'll get direct scanning time on real patients, with an instructor beside you reading and correcting your images in real time — not a video demo you watch from a distance.

What You'll Actually Do

• Small groups of 4–5 participants per instructor — built for individualized teaching and maximum scanning time per person, not a lecture hall
• Hands-on scanning and reading on real patients — you acquire the images yourself and work through interpretation with your instructor at the bedside, not just on a simulator
• Live demonstrations before each hands-on segment, so you see the technique before you attempt it
• Targeted, individual instructor feedback on your probe handling, image optimization, and interpretation as you scan
• Clinical application discussion tying each topic back to real decision-making at the bedside

Course Topics

The workshop covers commonly used bedside ultrasound applications across emergency medicine, acute care, internal medicine, and critical care, including:

• Ultrasound basics & knobology — getting comfortable with the machine before you scan
• FAST / EFAST examination
• Lung ultrasound
• Abdominal ultrasound
• Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound basics
• Soft tissue ultrasound
• Image interpretation & clinical application

The agenda may be adjusted to match the specialties and clinical interests of each group.

Dr. Osama Galal — UAE-based radiologist, actively practicing in diagnostic imaging and ultrasound.
