This one-day Communication Skills Course is designed to help clinicians master the essentials of effective medical communication and structured history taking in real clinical settings.

The course focuses on building confidence and clarity in patient interactions, covering rapport building, active listening, focused questioning, and systematic information gathering across common clinical scenarios. Participants will learn how to take a clear, comprehensive, and time-efficient medical history, while demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and patient-centred care.

Teaching includes practical guidance on presenting clinical histories, explaining diagnoses and management plans, handling difficult conversations, and avoiding common communication errors encountered in daily practice and clinical assessments.

The course is delivered by Dr Mohamed Salih Abuzaid, an experienced clinician and medical educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. His structured, exam-informed approach helps participants translate communication theory into confident clinical performance.
