These stations are not about examination technique.
They are not about listing differentials.
They are about how you run a consultation and how you communicate clearly under pressure.

Station 2 — Clinical Consultation (History Taking)

Many candidates fail this station not because they don’t know medicine, but because they:

• Lose control of the consultation

• Take an unfocused history

• Struggle to explain the problem to the patient

• Do not explain clearly what will happen next

You will learn a clear, repeatable structure for every PACES history and consultation.

Station 4 — Communication Skills & Ethics

This station tests how you handle real clinical conversations such as:

• Breaking bad news

• Consent and capacity

• Complaints and conflict

• Discussing risks and plans

• Professional and ethical behaviour

You will learn how to approach these scenarios calmly, clearly, and professionally.
